Key Skills required before progressing to Stage 3:-

  • 10m Freestyle kick with a board
  • Swim Freestyle with correct arm action
  • 10m kick on back without an aid
  • Swim Backstroke with correct arm action
  • Push & glide on front and back
  • Float on front and back unaided for 10 seconds
  • Fully submerge & pick up an object from pool floor in shallow water
  • Jump into deep water unassisted
